bROWNIE BUDGET FRIENDLY party planning

So If you have known me or followed me on Instagram for any amount of time, it’s no secret I love DIY and bargains!! I want to share some details on how I party plan on a tight budget:

  1. Set your budget and DON’T go over it!

  2. Make a list of items that are “must haves”

  3. Look around your house for things that you can use.

  4. Don’t plan a 4 course meal. Snacks are JUST fine!

  5. Make what you can! Nothing better than original décor. The stuff that you can’t buy in a store

Halloween Party on a Budget

This post is sponsored by Dollar General. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

To me, there is no better occasion to be festive than Halloween but y’all know me well enough to know that I am always looking for ways to save money. That is why Dollar General is my favorite place for our party needs. There was so much to choose from in their Halloween/ fall party décor department.

Our boys look forward to the one night we set aside in October for our family pumpkin carving party. This year however, I decided to step up my game and make it a party with all of their favorite fun snacks and candy. I had a budget so that’s why Dollar General is where I got it all! I spent under $30 for our family Halloween party.

I would love to share exactly how much I got for my money:

My table setting:

1 orange and black tablecloth = $1

1 purple tablecloth = $1

1 set of Halloween cups = $1

1 set of Halloween plates - $1

1 set of Halloween napkins = $1

Serving dishes:

1 large Halloween chip bowl = $2

2 pumpkin candy buckets = $1 each (perfect to re-use for trick or treating with the kids)

Snacks and drinks:

1 orange Fanta = $2

2 bags of Clover Valley Bar-B-Q chips = $! Each

1 box of Little Debbie pumpkin brownies = $2

Candy:

1 bag of individually wrapped Nerds = $2

1 bag of individually wrapped Kit Kat and Reese’s Cups = $2

2 packs of orange creamsicle Twizzlers = $2 each

Decorations:

1 felt pumpkin =$1

1 spider web = $1

2 packs of glitter spiders = $1 each

1 felt pumpkin bag = $1

So, if you noticed, I color coordinated the snacks, drinks and candy. The possibilities are endless with orange! See what you can find. I also used one of the cups to hold the Twizzlers, which was perfect!

This was such a fun night for us, and I promise I enjoyed it more knowing I stayed within my budget and you can too! Head over to Dollar General to pick up all of your Halloween party, costume and food needs.
